and un-pierced.

She was the butch, but
her lover always took
the lead.

An old woman told her —
Take notes, take lots of notes.

She knew there was no escape,
but she figured a little trip now
and then wouldn’t hurt.

It was a good idea
at the time, she thought—
she just liked to burn things.

She had trouble getting off
her inner roads.

Her family? They got together
and watched each other
