Executive Coaching

I bring over thirty years of experience to my work as an executive coach. My formal training as a psychotherapist and as an artist, my experience as an educator, and my commitment to life-long learning give me consulting skills that are informed not only by research and theory, but also by integrity, insight, and hard-earned wisdom.

I help people confront the reality of their situation, find new perspectives that define new choices, and deal with the tensions of making real change. I do not provide strategic business advice, but instead coach people to manage their personal, relational, and communication dilemmas in a business context.

As a coach and consultant, I have worked with leaders from corporations such as: Cisco, Intel, Yahoo, Ebay, Borland, as well as start-ups, non-profits, government agencies, health organizations, universities, community colleges, and small businesses. Additionally, I have a particular interest and years of experience in working with women and other under-represented groups. I have designed and led workshops focusing on confidence building, influence strategies, communication skills, verbal and non-verbal communication skills, work/home balance, mindfulness based stress reduction, change and transition, courage and creativity. Because of years of training in body-oriented awareness and healing, I also combine physical strategies in my workshops when appropriate.

I offer individuals and groups:

– Strategies for Change and Transition—How to break through before you break down
– Communication Skill-building—Negotiating the unspoken patterns of power and authority
– Work/Home Balance—Coping with techno-stress, data smog, and the need for a secular sabbath
– Courage and Creativity—Paint the way you want and die happy
– Leadership Skills—Bringing out the best in yourself and others
